I (22M) have been close with my friends since middle school and we met at classmates. We started gaming online and eventually got ourselves into games like Roblox and Valorant in early 2019. Fast forward 7 years later, I have grown out of that phase where games don’t excite me as much anymore and I’m trying to learn new skills and get on top of my fitness and wealth journey.
However, all four of my homeboys don’t share the same mindset and instead they are all still stuck playing Roblox at the age of 22 and playing anime simulator games where they run it in their background all day talking about some “Madara item drops” and have nothing else much going about their day except being on the computer all day. I get that they are in a time where they’re serving mandatory military service for a time in our country but they’re close to finishing their service soon and they don’t seem to any ambitions beside playing games all day.
I’m afraid if I stick to these friends, I’m gonna limit myself to becoming whatever I want to be in the future. They are all decent people but the problem lies in the fact that they don’t share any of the same ideals as I do and the things we used to bond about are starting to get lesser. Hence, that’s the reason I’m slowly distancing myself.
